I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for all your hard work on my claim.  From the moment the other boat ran into me until now, this situation has taken up most of my time.  I can honestly say I don't think I've had one normal night sleep since this has happened.  Most people wouldn't understand, for me this is not just a boat, it's my passion.  Everything I do in my free time is based around boating.  Before we ever make any kind of weekend plan, my poker run calendar is checked.  More time and money goes into my boat than my home, cars, or sadly to say my relationship.  The stress that I was putting myself under worrying about not having the boat repaired properly, amount of time I would be without it and will it ever be the same, would have killed most people.  The only thing that had made this bearable in any way is you and the way you handled my claim.  I have heard so many horror stories about insurance companies, and how they only watch out for themselves.  I was scared to death.  From the first time I talked to you, I always got a feeling of comfort.  I have had so many people tell me not to worry, it will work out for the best and none of them gave me 1/10 the relief or comfort you did.  My well being was evident every time we talked.  I hope Markel realizes what kind of person they have representing them.  You are truly an asset to your company.  I can't thank you enough for helping me through one of the most stressful times of my life.  If there is ever anything I can do, please let me know.  Dealing with you has been an absolute pleasure and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This note is to say thank you to Markel for the outstanding support provided on the above referenced claim. One year ago, we were in Grenada and our boat fell victim to hurricane Ivan. In the few weeks after the storm, Markel provided every assistance possible to get us floating again and out of harms way. Once back in the States with the boat, I could not have asked for fairer treatment as we undertook the extensive repairs. Markel lived up to their promise to make the boat as she was before the storm. Our repairs were completed today and indeed we are happy with the results.
Through it all, we have been assisted by your claims representative, Casey Matthews. He has been a great representative for your company and has answered every question, done what was necessary and always responded within 24 hours to any need we expressed. I think he genuinely takes pride in helping others and had real empathy for our situation as well as lots of patience! Please recognize his efforts and convey our thanks.
